Marmot visits the Passat in Travemünde

Ahoy! The legendary four-masted barque PASSAT is moored on the Priwallufer. The fascinating "Flying P-Liner" has experienced many stormy adventures and exciting journeys across the seven seas since it was launched. After a total of 39 circumnavigations of Cape Horn and many thousands of nautical miles, the ship went into retirement in Travemünde without sails.

Marmot arrives on the Moana...

...and immediately positions himself in the pantry. For all you groundhogs: the galley is the heart of the ship; nothing works without a kitchen, otherwise the sailors mutiny and the captain is dissatisfied.

Marmot on Fehmarn

So much in advance: Mumeli's first stop after a great farewell in Travemünde is Fehmarn.
The first island on the way south.
Marmots aren't quite big yet, but they've put their noses into the wind and helped out a lot with the sailing!
As soon as the Obermurmelis have written the latest blog post, you will find out more about our adventures.

Murmeli in the NOK

In the North Sea Canal there is still good laughter; no waves, no wind and really cozy.
In the North Sea, buckle up, please!

port days

Port days sometimes feel like hibernation. They just pass by and it's evening again.
Murmeli enjoys the sun and the fresh wind in Brittany and prepares for the Biscaya crossing.

moana
Up here was my place to stay for almost 1 1/2 years. Now I live in the cliff house with a sea view and enjoy the last few days in Grenada. Then it's finally off to South Africa and off to new adventures.
Le Phare bleu
Until June 1st, the Moana was moored in the beautiful Marina Le Phare bleu. We really enjoyed the time here.
